Groev are making a stop at Dolans Kasbah in Limerick as part of their 'Will We Go For One' tour on Thursday, 13th November.
It’s been a whirlwind year for the Galway-based band, and they are wrapping it up by heading out on their first national tour.
Groev (pronounced Grove) made up of; Joe Sweeney, Rory O’Regan, Jack Lennox, Evan, and Keagan Forde, have been playing pubs across Galway over the past year. They released their debut single 'Ben and Jerrys' at the start of summer. Since then, they’ve supported Jamie McIntyre on his Irish and UK tour and played the GIAF Festival Garden.
Their latest single, Tara Grove, racked up 45k streams in its first month, was OceanFM’s Record of the Week, and even inspired a cocktail named after it. 'Tara Grove 'feels like a nostalgic hit and an instant earworm.
“With Tara Grove, they’ve delivered a track that feels like it belongs deep into a seasoned band’s discography, not just their second ever release… ‘Tara Grove’ is awarded a nice little 9 out of 10.” – Alan Robinson
The self-proclaimed “drinking band with a music problem” will be playing dates across Ireland, including stops at Whelan's in Dublin, Róisín Dubh in Galway and An Spailpín Fánach in Cork.
