Steven Sharpe, fresh from his Olympia Theatre debut with the Led Zeppelin tribute show Whole Lotta Zepp, is now set to unveil a brand new live project. This spring he will take to the road with a full band to perform a powerful tribute to Grace, the legendary 1994 debut album from Jeff Buckley.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest albums ever made, Jeff Buckley’s Grace remains a landmark recording. Defined by its soaring vocal performances, sweeping arrangements and deeply poetic lyricism, the album continues to resonate with listeners more than thirty years after its release. It is Buckley’s only full-length studio album, a single defining statement that has inspired generations of musicians and music lovers.

Critical praise for Grace has been both consistent and emphatic. Jimmy Page once described the album as “close to being my favourite album of the decade”. Robert Plant echoed this sentiment, calling it the finest record of the 1990s.

For Steven Sharpe, Grace is more than a masterpiece. It is an album that shaped him as a singer and performer, making this tribute both a creative challenge and a personal homage.

“Nina Simone and Robert Plant inspired me to sing. They also inspired Jeff Buckley’s singing style, so this feels only natural,” Steven says. “This album has always been close to my heart. Approaching it with honesty and respect is something I take seriously.”

Having toured across Europe and performed on some of Ireland’s biggest stages, Steven brings both vocal power and emotional depth to one of the most technically demanding catalogues in modern music. His reputation for dynamic, high impact performances makes him uniquely suited to honouring Buckley’s extraordinary range and sensitivity.

To recreate the complexity and nuance of Grace, Steven has assembled an exceptional group of Irish musicians from the western music scene. The band features:

Dan Smith on guitar

Joe Padfield on guitar

Adam Downey on drums

Liam Carr on piano and synth

Kyle Dee on bass

Together, they will present a set that captures the intensity, intimacy and emotional breadth of the original album.

What audiences can expect:

The show will feature full live performances of celebrated tracks including “Hallelujah”, “Grace”, “So Real”, “Last Goodbye” and “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over”, along with other selections from Buckley’s repertoire. The tribute aims to transport audiences through the atmosphere and artistry that made Grace a defining work of the 1990s.

This tribute promises a moving and immersive concert experience for fans of Jeff Buckley and lovers of powerful, emotive live music. With a top-tier band and a singer capable of delivering one of rock’s most revered vocal catalogues, this is set to be an unmissable celebration of a truly iconic album.
