Aisling Drost Byrne, Brendan McCarthy, and Conal O'Kane are graduates of the prestigious Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in the University of Limerick, and each is highly regarded for their unique take on their instrument. Hailing from the strong Donegal fiddling tradition of Glencolmcille, Aisling is a fiercely rhythmic player with a wealth of uncommon fiddle tunes from South-west Donegal. From the opposite end of the country, Brendan McCarthy grew up in the heart of Sliabh Luachra, and his grounding in the music of his local area has been complimented by his immersion in the accordion styles of modern English masters. Finally, Conal O’Kane, originally from Philadelphia, is one of the most sought after guitar players in the tradition, known for his work with Martin Hayes and the band Goitse, among many others. Conal brings a deep knowledge of theory and powerful driving accompaniment to the trio. Aisling, Brendan and Conal released their first trio album 'Jump Out of It' in November 2025.
