Le Boom + special guests T.A. Narrative

  • Dolans Warehosue 3 Dock Rd Limerick, LK, V94 VH4X Ireland (map)

Le Boom, the musical project spearheaded by Christy Leech, has emerged as one of Ireland's most exhilarating and boundary- pushing acts. With their captivating blend of infectious beats, electrifying synths, and thought-provoking spoken word performances by Andy Leech, Le Boom has captivated audiences both at home and abroad. Accompanied by the talented Peter Fleming on synths and electronics and Finn Mc Anna on drums and percussion, the quartet has redefined what it means to experience dance music live.

Hailing from Navan, Le Boom's current formation took shape in the summer of 2022, and they wasted no time in leaving an indelible mark on the Irish music scene. In December of the same year, the band headlined Dublin's legendary 3Olympia Theatre, leaving the sold-out 1500-capacity venue in awe. Their magnetic presence on stage also attracted a packed crowd of 750 at the Button Factory, cementing their reputation as a must-see live act. The demand for their performances extended beyond Dublin, with sold-out shows in Limerick and Belfast, showcasing the band's ability to captivate audiences across the country.

In 2023, Le Boom embarked on an audacious "Small Room Tour" that left concertgoers buzzing with excitement. These secret raves, carefully orchestrated in cities such as Dublin, Kilkenny, Limerick, and Belfast, took the live experience to new heights. Surrounded 360 degrees by the crowd, the band created an intimate and immersive atmosphere that shattered the barriers between performer and audience. These clandestine events were announced through a carefully orchestrated Instagram campaign, with venue details revealed just hours before each rave, adding an air of anticipation and exclusivity.

Le Boom's magnetic energy was not confined to their homeland, as they embarked on their first headline shows in some of Europe's most vibrant cities. Paris, Berlin, and Madrid were treated to the band's mesmerising performances, leaving a lasting impression on international audiences. The band's sonic prowess and undeniable stage presence have firmly established Le Boom as a rising force in the global music landscape.

With their infectious sound making waves beyond national borders, Le Boom found themselves climbing the Spanish charts. Their bouncy tongue-in-cheek track, Friday Night, soared to number 15, capturing the hearts of listeners across the country. This success earned them coveted spots at various Spanish festivals, solidifying their reputation as an act on the brink of international stardom.

The journey of Le Boom took an unexpected turn when a video from one of their secret raves went viral on TikTok. Within a day, the video featuring Andy Leech performing the unreleased emotional dance anthem, "Australia," racked up an astonishing half a million views. The song's nostalgic lyrics about friends leaving Ireland for Australia struck a chord with listeners worldwide, adding fuel to the band's meteoric rise.

In May 2023, Le Boom answered the fervent anticipation by officially releasing "Australia," much to the delight of their growing fan base. The song received widespread support from BBC Introducing, further bolstering their reputation as a band to watch. Additionally, the band unveiled their summer festival schedule, with appearances at prestigious events such as Ireland's All Together Now, Beyond The Pale, and Sea Sessions, as well as the United Kingdom's Latitude, Secret Garden Party, and Beat Herder festivals.

As Le Boom continues their unstoppable momentum, they have another surprise in store for their fans. Their highly anticipated debut album, which was written by Christy and Andy during their time in Paris, is set to release before the end of 2023.

Le Boom's electrifying performances, chart success, and innovative approach to live shows have solidified their status as a force to be reckoned with. With their debut album on the horizon, there's no doubt that Le Boom will continue to captivate audiences and reshape the music landscape both in Ireland and beyond.

T.A Narrative are a duo from Limerick, Ireland composed of Tara and Anna. The pair who are childhood best friends, have worked together under various guises, sharing the stage in Irish punk scene bands as well as touring and recording in the U.S. Starting a collaboration as T.A. Narrative during lockdown, their unique and exciting live show and the release of their acclaimed debut EP ‘Retro Futurism’ in 2023, have firmly placed them as a must see act. Drawing influences from post-punk, electronic, and sparkly pop music (from Fugazi to Carly Rae Jepsen), they have been described as having a charming abandon and a palpable sense of freedom and joy in the music that they create.
